ઝાડ એના પાંદડાંને પૂછે છે- કેમ ?
તું મારું નથી એવો શા માટે પડ્યો તને વ્હેમ?
પાંદડાએ પૂછ્યુ કે, મારું નામ પાન છે
તો શા માટે તારું નામ ઝાડ છે?
શા માટે તારી ને મારી વચ્ચાળ
આમ ડાળી ને ડાળખાંની આડ છે?
ઝાડવું કહે કે તારી વહાલુડી લીલપને સાચવું છું, આવડે છે એમ!
પાંદડું કહે કે, મારે અડવું આકાશને
ને તું મને શા માટે બાંધતું ?
ઝાડવું કહે કે, એ તો ધરતીનું વ્હાલ છે…
જે સૌ સાથે આપણને સાંધતું

pyar ki GoliRangon mein lipat,
aayi phir Holi;
Goriyan machalein,
ban chand-chakoriAashqon ne bhi sajayi,
apni-apni Toli.
Yeh haseen mauka hai,
ijhar kaYaar se milein,
aur karein thitholi;
Mohabbat ki gagri mein,
saja rangDoob kar Gori sang,
banein humjoli.Rang ka tyohar hai,
